Over the past year I have spent some of my time doing something I never imagined I would ever do; write.
I began working when I was very young and ever since then I have given my heart and soul to this business: or should I say, have spent a lot of my time to build but very little to explain. Of late, various forums have asked me to talk about my experience and the journey I have encountered. To some extent, speaking about this journey has made me realise how much it has inspired a lot of people. Alas, after being around as an entrepreneur for almost 30 years, I have been persuaded to share those reflections.
The Conviction is the end result, a book about my very own experiences as an entrepreneur, which has also played a huge part in the background of Anuntis and, of course, about the many other people who have made what the company is a reality today. Along with a few members of my family, Anuntis started off in Barcelona running a magazine called Primeramà. This is a story about how a very small idea changed into a successful classified magazine business, and at its peak, had to adapt to changes in the sector, transforming itself into a 100% Internet business, which has been able to grow and create employment over the last four years.
We are living in a time where no driving force is ever enough when encouraging people to fight for their dreams or projects. In such a way that, if somebody gets the impulse to set up their own business or redirect their business, whilst reading this book, I would be more than pleased.
Generally speaking, those of us who have set up businesses, sparing no efforts or resources, are obstinate, overcome obstacles and go for their ideas with conviction. That is what this book is all about, where without a doubt, many entrepreneurs, will feel reflected upon, and it will inspire and serve as a push for those who are beginning.
Allow me to share some of these reflections with you in this book:
- “Success in this business must be taken humbly as one day you could be right at the top and bankrupt the very next”.
- "How many times are you on the point of drowning in your life as an entrepreneur? Infinite”.
- “Finding those opportunities is what being an entrepreneur is all about”
I sincerely hope you enjoy this book.
