Of the approximately 50 billion searches that have been conducted in the last two weeks on Google, in the whole world, 'CompuTrabajo' is in 15th place in the ranking of searches related to employment. It is evident that this is an extraordinary brand recognition.
Among the first positions we find the words 'job', 'interview' or 'cv', which tells us not only the concerns of people in regard to looking for information about employment in the search engine, but also the majority language in which they carry out the searches.
It is surprising to see that the word 'Google', despite the launch a few months ago of Google for Jobs, is in 14th place.
It is also surprising to see the absence of LinkedIn in the Top 25, which confirms that, at the moment, users see it more as a professional social network than as a job search website. Equally surprising is that there is no finding of any brand of the second company of online employment in the world, Seek, in the Top 15, despite its evident strength as the leader of the markets in Asia and Australia. Facebook also doesn’t appear among the 25 most searched words in the job market, although this seems more logical.
CompuTrabajo is the leading employment website in Latin America with a very strong brand positioning, situation in Colombia, Peru, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Venezuela as the first most searched for word in Google in employment under the generic words of the category. But it is also ranked in the Top 5 of the most searched words in the job market in Mexico, Argentina, Costa Rica, Uruguay and Ecuador.
I have always believed that the leadership of Internet businesses (which the vast majority is now mobiles) is based on very strong brands.
