Pride, gratitude, but also some sadness

Pride, gratitude, but also some sadness

After 30 exciting and intense years as president and CEO of Anuntis, today I take a big step. It’s a planned and much meditated decision, but still, as you can imagine, I have a mixture of feelings right now, that I would define as pride, gratitude and sadness.

I’m very proud to see the company and the team we have created out of nothing. Anuntis is now a leading company, which has grown 40% in recent years and where people are happy to work. And that's quite a thing nowadays.  I have no doubt that the future of Anuntis will be as successful as it has been until today.

I feel much gratitude, because the most valuable thing that remains with me is the experience of working with exceptional people, all the projects that we have created, the stress and the nerves we have experienced and the successes we have shared... All these moments are written in my memory. And for that, I am very grateful.

But I also feel some sadness, because leaving the company you founded and the people with whom you've shared so many experiences is not easy. In 30 years many things have happened, good things and not so good things.  For sure I'll take the good ones with me. Some of the people of Anuntis have been with me for over 20 years on this long journey and that's hard to leave behind. I'm convinced people define the character of a company, and a company without people is an uncomfortable place to be. But, as I say at the end of my book, almost everything that has a beginning has an end. And I think that everything has its moment.

It’s interesting to experience the strong effects of the invisible link that’s created through the years between an entrepreneur and the company he has founded. It goes far beyond being a shareholder in a company.

I want to thank all the people who work or have worked in Anuntis and made it a leading company. Thank you for your support, effort and love over the years.

I am finishing an amazing period of my life, but I feel I still have much to do.
